BHEL & ONGC sign contract worth Rs. 506 cr.
Bhopal, September 23 (Pervez Bari): A Refurbishment & Upgradation contract for 12 land rigs worth Rs. 506 crores was signed between Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), and Oil & Natural Gas Commission, (ONGC), recently in a meeting organized at New Delhi in presence of U N Bose, Director (T&FS) ONGC; B P Rao, Director (IS&P) BHEL and M D Joshi ED (CDS), ONGC; RK Singh, ED, Bhopal Unit and Vasudev Rao, GM (I), BHEL, Hyderabad.
Rao emphasized on cohesive joint working of BHEL & ONGC to reduce execution cycle time. He also appreciated ONGC’s continued support to BHEL and informed the forum about recently signed contract for Tripura Gas Power plant with ONGC.
Bose in his address stressed upon importance of BHEL & ONGC for progressive economy of the country and futuristic challenges ahead of us.
R K Singh, ED BHEL Bhopal in his address thanked ONGC for reposing confidence in BHEL by awarding 3rd order in succession. He assured timely execution of the contract and said that BHEL would always stand with ONGC.
The above contract shall be executed by SCR division of Bhopal worth approx Rs. 200 crores and balance by oil rig group of BHEL Hyderabad. The program was conducted by P C Butani, AGM (IPM) and Raghav Rao, GM BHEL Hyderabad, proposed vote of thanks. V Limaye, AGM (SCS) and D K Thakur, AGM, CEE were also present in the meeting. BHEL's CNC Gear Teeth Grinding machine inaugurated
Bhopal, September 23 (Pervez Bari): Anil Sachdeva, Director (HR), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), during his visit to Bhopal Unit inaugurated CNC Gear Teeth Grinding Machine in Tool & Gauge Division.
The machine from M/S Hofler, Germany has strengthened the capacity of Gear shop in productivity and quality. The productivity of this machine is 1.5 times more than that of the existing machine. It also has the built-in profile measuring facility which reduces the setting time for the different jobs. It is an important step towards capacity augmentation by the Unit.
