Corporation to Set Up 3 Million-Ton Cement Plant in Madhya Pradesh

Birla Corporation Limited (BOM:500335) (Kolkata, India), the flagship
company of the MP Birla Group, has announced plans to set up a $300
million, 3 million-ton-per-year greenfield cement plant in Satna,
Madhya Pradesh. The new capacity will bring the company's total cement
production to 10.5 million tons per year. The plant will be set up
near the company's existing plant in Satna and is expected to be
commissioned by 2010-11.

Pradesh's Rajgarh district fearing the end of the world in the most
ambitious scientific experiment in Geneva to fathom the mysteries of
creation, the police said today. Chhaya, a resident of Rajgarh
district's Sarangpur town, consumed tablets of sulphas (an
insecticide) last night after watching news on TV channels about the
Geneva experiment in which the world's largest collider will recreate
conditions of the earliest universe.
“She was immediately rushed to MY Hospital in Indore where she
breathed her last today,” a police officer said.

police committed suicide in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh Thursday,
the police said.
'Manohar Lal Patel, 58, seemed to be disturbed due to family and
health related problems. He committed suicide by hanging himself from
the ceiling in the Police Control Room premises,' Dhar Police
Superintendent Chanchal Shekhar told.
