PFI reiterates struggle for rebuilding Babri Masjid to continue; urges Liberhan Commission chief to resign
Bhopal, December 6 (Pervez Bari): The National Executive Council of Popular Front of India, (PFI), has called upon the people to continue the struggle for the restoration of Babri Masjid on the same site where it had existed at the time of its destruction by the Hindutva fascist forces.
The Popular Front has urged Justice Liberhan to release the Liberhan Commission report of Babri Masjid demolition before the citizens of India and resign forthwith in protest of the insult from the government.
` On this occasion of 16th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition PFI in a statement said: “We find that our political system comprising the legislature, the executive, the judiciary and a plethora of political parties stands on the way obstructing a genuine solution to the problem and timely delivery of justice. All three legal proceedings on the issue are still pending without any immediate chances of completion. The original title suit which was filed on 1961 to decide the ownership of the land and building has been dragging in Allahabad court for 47 years, a fate unique to the Babri Masjid and not heard of in any other civil suit. The criminal case in the CBI court in which top brass of the “Sangh Parivar” are the accused is also deliberately delayed”.
On the other hand, in cases pertaining to many other terror attacks including that on the Indian Parliament building, trials were completed and judgments pronounced. The judicial commission headed by Mr. Justice to go into the details of the circumstances that led to the demolition, has made itself a mockery. The central government, just prior to this 16th anniversary of the incident, on November 30, 2008 ordered a further extension of six months, the 47th extension, the statement stated.
It is reported that the Liberhan Commission has spent about 75 million rupees from the exchequer. It is evident that not only BJP, but the Congress-led UPA Government also fears the anticipated contents of the Liberhans Commission report and do not wants to get the facts reach the people before the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
In this context, Popular Front of India has asked Justice Liberhan to release the report before the citizens of India and resign forthwith in protest of the insult from the government. (pervezbari@eth.net)
