Govt. to redress long-pending problems of teachers
Bhopal, April 29 (Pervez Bari): The Madhya Pradesh Tribal Welfare
Department has decided to redress the long-pending problems faced by
the teachers and employees of the educational institutions being run
by it. Special camps would be organised for this purpose.
These special camps would be organised for redressal of personal and
service-related problems of teachers at every development block from
May 16 to 30 during summer vacations. All the formalities regarding
organisation of the camps would be completed by May 15. Block
Development Education Officers would be the nodal officers of these
development block level problem redressal camps. Instructions to this
effect have been issued by Commissioner Tribal Development Jaideep
Govind to all the divisional deputy commissioners, assistant
commissioners and district coordinators.
Before organisation of these camps, heads of development block and
district offices would sort out from May 1 to 15 as to what kind of
claims are pending. All the necessary formalities about redressal of
these claims would be completed by May 15. All the office heads,
assistant commissioners and district organisers would remain present
at these problem redressal camps. The Problems which might not be
redressed at the development block level would be sent to assistant
commissioners and district organisers for further action.
The problems to be redressed include time-bound scale, promotion,
fixation of pay scale after time-bound scale, promotion, cases of
deputation and sanction of leave, amendment in seniority list, timely
payment of travel allowance, maintenance of G.P.F. Passbooks,
provision of second copy of service book, entries of capability
enhancement to be made in the service records, making monthly payment
slips available and pension cases.
The district-level problems put up for redressal at the problem
redressal camps would be solved by District Education Officers by June
15. Applications for redressing problems received at the development
block and district levels would be disposed of at the district level
camps. The applicant would be intimated in this connection. Divisional
deputy commissioners tribal development would also remain present at
the district level camps. The deputy commissioners would dispose of
the applications from concerning districts at the district level
camps.
The applications which need redressal at the state level would be sent
by divisional deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners to
Commissioners Tribal Development by June 30, 2008.
It may be mentioned that many problems of teachers and employees
working in departmental educational institutions remain pending for
long due to which they are unable to concentrate on their work.
Inability to redressal of these problems sometimes results in
litigation. Therefore, it is imperative to redress such personal
problems and claims through formal process within time-limit. (pervezbari@eth.net)
