Pradesh shuffles top police officials
June 01, 2008, Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has issued transfer
orders for eight Inspectors General of Police (IGs) and seven Deputy
Inspectors General of Police (DIGs), official sources said Sunday.
As per the orders issued late Saturday, Rishi Kumar Shukla, IG (law and
order) has been shifted to Special Task Force (STF), V.K. Singh, IG
Jabalpur range, has been transferred to Crime Investigations Department
(CID), M.R. Krishna, IG (CID), has been posted as IG Jabalpur range
while B.M. Kumar, director of Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy in Sagar,
has been posted as principal staff officer in the police headquarters (PHQ).
Other officials shifted include Vijay Kumar, principal staff officer in
PHQ, who has been transferred in similar capacity to law and personnel
department, Vijay Yadav, IG (narcotics), transferred to Special Armed
Forces (SAF), I.S. Chauhan, IG (SAF), appointed IG (narcotics) while
Sanjeev Kumar Singh, IG (intelligence), has been shifted as IG (law and
order).
Besides, seven DIGs given fresh postings include A.P. Singh, DIG (SAF),
who has been posted to Shahdol range while Yogesh Mudgal, DIG
(accounts), who has been transferred to Chhatarpur range in similar
capacity and V. Madhukumar, DIG (Indore), transferred to Jabalpur range.
Similarly, D. Niwasrao, DIG (Jabalpur) has been shifted to Indore range
in similar capacity, Shobhan Bannerjee, DIG (economic offences wing) has
been shifted to PHQ while S.S. Naqwi, additional secretary (home) has
been made DIG (economic offences wing). Chhatarpur DIG Vijay Kataria has
been appointed additional secretary (home). (IANS)
