Lehron Ke Sartaj

Bhopal , September 20 , 2008: After taking its viewers to the top of the world
with ‘Mission Everest’ in collaboration with the Indian Army and then inside
the Indian Air Force with ‘Mission Udaan’, National Geographic Channel returns
with its biggest mission property – ‘Nat Geo Mission Navy: Lehron ke Sartaj’.
Nat Geo has collaborated with the Indian Navy for their latest mission
property and is now all set to embark on a journey on the high seas with
battle stations and live weaponry , for the mission of a lifetime. For the
first time in the history of Indian television, Nat Geo Mission Navy will
showcase the hitherto uncharted world of the Indian Navy, replete with
warships, submarines , missiles and much more.
Speaking about the mega series , Nikhil Mirchandani , Managing Director,
National Geographic Channel – South Asia said , “Our Mission properties have
always showcased exceptional content , encouraging viewers to re-assess the
world they live in and expand their thought horizons. We are extremely excited
to announce the launch of our next Mission property, especially since it would
take our viewers inside the incredible world of the Indian Navy. Through this
unique initiative we are on a nationwide hunt to choose the first lucky Indian
to go on an international tour with the Indian Navy”.

our country. We are therefore, extremely pleased to welcome the National
Geographic Channel cameras aboard our vessels to capture the world of the
Indian Navy and present it to audiences through Nat Geo Mission Navy: Lehron

The series consists of eight visually stunning episodes which give an insight
into the lives of the brave men who patrol and protect the country. Nat Geo
Mission Navy will provide five civilians the once in a lifetime opportunity to
be part of the Navy, training and imbuing them with the courage, grit and
determination which is synonymous with the Indian Navy. The most resilient,
deserving and valiant of the five finalists will have the honour of sailing
with the Indian Navy’s Lehron Ke Sartaj on an international tour.

Interested participants can register online for Nat Geo Mission Navy’s
on-ground selections by simply logging on to www.natgeotv.co.in or by sending
MISSION via SMS to 57827. Indian nationals above the age of 18 who are
physically fit can apply to be a part of Nat Geo Mission Navy. On-line
registrations would close 5-days before the on-ground selection. On-ground
selections would be organised in Delhi on October 12 (last date to register on
line, October 7), Bangalore on October 19 (last date to register, October 14)
and Mumbai on October 26 (last date to register online, October 21). All
participants would undergo an interview round followed by rigorous training to
test their physical and mental attributes.

extensively promoted through an innovative 360-degree campaign including
on-air, on-line, print, outdoor, radio, SMS and on-ground elements to create a
an interactive consumer experience.
