BHEL Ladies Club felicitates participants of Adult Education Programme
Bhopal, March 14 (Pervez Bari): In a programme organized today at BHE Dr. Radhakrishnan Sr. Sec. School, Berkhera, Mrs. Prabha Singh, President BHEL Ladies Club, felicitated the participants of Adult Education Programme.
The programme was successfully organized by BHEL Shiksha Mandal and BHEL Ladies Club. MC Prasad, General Manager (HR) and Chairman, BHEL Shiksha Mandal, Alok Shukla, Vice President, BSM, Avinash Chandra, Secretary, BSM, VK Gothi, administrator, BSM , Office Bearers of BHEL Ladies Club, Mrs. PA Nair, Sr. Principal and teachers of school were present on this occasion.
Mrs. Singh in her address lauded the combined effort of BHEL Shiksha Mandal and BHEL Ladies Club to organize Adult Education Programme for ladies of the locality. She said how many people feel the pain of not being educated throughout life despite their socio-economic positions in the society. It always proves to be an obstacle in their personality development and keeping in mind this aspect, the programme was launched. She said that the participants have gained confidence after attending the programme.
Earlier Mrs. Nair welcomed the guests and highlighted the objectives of the Adult Education Programme run by BSM and BHEL Ladies Club.
Mrs. Singh and Prasad felicitated participants of the Adult Education Programme. Mrs. Satyavati stood first, Mrs. Vidyavati and Mrs. Kamlesh stood second and Mrs. Rajula Devi stood third in the test. The participants, especially Mrs. Kanti Singh, Mrs. Sucheta Singh and Mrs. Gulabi Singh shared their views and feelings with the audience.
Mrs. Singh also inaugurated the new office premises of BHEL Shiksha Mandal situated in MGM Dispensary premises. The dispensary as well as the BSM Office will function from the same building. (pervezbari@eth.net)

A.I. Mushaira in memory of Akhtar Saeed Khan in Bhopal on March 15
Bhopal, March 14 (Pervez Bari): An All India "Mushaira" (Urdu poetic meet) is being organised by Bhopal Adabi Sangam, a literary society, in the memory of Urdu litterateur late Akhtar Saeed Khan here on March 15 at Iqbal Maidan.
Addressing a joint Press conference Akbar Mohammad Khan and Naseem Ansari, president and secretary respectively, of Bhopal Adabi Sangam informed that about two dozen leading poets from all over the country would be participating in the "Mushaira". Local veteran poet Ishrat Qadri will preside over the "Mushaira" while Mansoor Usmani of Moradabad would conduct the proceedings.
Naseem Ansari throwing light on the life and works of Urdu litterateur late Akhtar Saeed Khan said he was among the leading poets and writers of Indian sub-continent and was one of the front-runners of Progressive writers. His contributions to Urdu prose and poetry in the last 50 to 60 years cannot be ignored, he observed.
Replying to a question Ansari said Urdu and Hindi are very similar to each other and differ only in script. They are like real sisters and no other two languages in the world bear such similarities. As such to promote Urdu and Hindi both Bhopal Adabi Sangam after holding "Mushaira" would organise a "Kavi Sammelan" (Hindi poetic meet) on May 1st this year, he added.
The poets who are scheduled to participate in the Mushaira include: Ishrat Qadri, Prof. Wasim Barelvi, Mansoor Usmani, Popular Meeruthi, Sunil Kumar Tung, Naeem Akhtar Khadmi, Altaf Zia, Ashok Sahil, Tahir Faraz, Akhtar Gwaliori, Nazar Etahwi, Habeeb Hashmi, Dr. Anjum Barabankwi, Sheikh Nizami, Typical Jagatyali, Ms Gulnar Aafri, Ms Naseem Nikhat, Ms Shyama Singh Saba, Ms Shaista Sana, Ms Tarannum Naaz, Vijay Tiwari etc. (pervezbari@eth.net)
