Popular Front to Stage Protest March at Indian Parliament to press demand for Muslim Reservation on Mar. 15

New Delhi, March 14 (Pervez Bari): Popular Front of India is taking out a Parliament March here in New Delhi on Monday (March 15) to press the demand for reservation to Muslims in Federal Government services and in admission to educational institutions in India.
The March will start from Mandi House area at 11 am and culminate at Jantar Mantar where a public meeting and sit-in will be held.
In addition to national and state leaders of Popular Front, prominent persons including community leaders, members of Parliament, journalists and human rights activists will join the march and address the public meeting. The march is expected to be largely attended by people drawn from Delhi and the surroundings. But all states from Rajasthan to Manipur and from Tamil Nadu to Delhi were represented by delegations.
According to Popular Front general secretary K. M. Shareef a delegation of Popular Front will later submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister urging an early executive order earmarking 10 per cent reservation for Muslims in central services and educational institutions.
Meanwhile, it may be mentioned here that a campaign for Muslim Reservation is going on under the auspices of Popular Front of India during the months of February and March. Various public awareness programs such as street meetings, vehicle caravans, rallies, seminars, street plays, pamphlets, posters, exhibitions and cultural shows were held state wide in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Manipur, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi.
