BHEL formulates strategies for Hydro Business

Bhopal, January 21 (Pervez Bari): Dignitaries from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Corporate Office and other BHEL units on Wednesday formulated strategies for Hydro Business on the occasion of 54th Hydro Product Committee held at Bhopal.
Speaking on the occasion, M. K. Dube, Executive Director, BHEL Bhopal, emphasized the need for looking Hydro business in a holistic manner.
Hydro Power has been identified as the thrust area in the next decade and this will attract stiff competition from global & domestic players. The group should deliberate on formulating strategies & action plan to tap the vast hydro potential available in the country and counter competition.
Earlier, U. Chatterjee, GM (Hydro) & Chairman Hydro Product Committee, briefed the members on installed capacity available in the country, the BHEL’s share, the installed capacity addition plan by CEA and the huge potential available for Hydro Business.
SR Prasad, GM (EM) & Co-Chairman HPC; NK Swarnakar, GM (Hydro Engg., MMH, PMG) & Chairman HTC (C); JK Bhati, GM (EM-Engg.) & Chairman HTC (G); MK Shakya, GM (Feeders & Q); Karori Mal, GM (Hydro Marketing, New Delhi); S. Lomesh, GM (CEPD, New Delhi), SC Sharma, GM (PSNR, Noida); YK Gaur, GM(SSBG, Noida) also graced the occasion.
