  BHEL Bhopal celebrates July 1 as 'Productivity Day'
 
Bhopal, July 01 (Pervez Bari): M. K. Dube, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal on Thursday administered Productivity Pledge to all General Managers and Senior Executives in a simple function held at Administrative Building Conference Hall.
Later on, employees were administered Productivity Pledge by respective HODs. On this occasion, Dube appealed to work with commitment for the progress of the company and the nation. He further said that all the employees are contributing towards Business Excellence keeping in mind mission, vision and goal of the company.
It is worth mentioning here that on August 29, 1956 the present BHEL was registered as HE (India) Ltd., and construction of the factory started in 1958. The very first batch of the trainees launched formal production on July 01, 1960.
After Independence, it was a major breakthrough in the modern temple of India. Since then, this day is celebrated as "Productivity Day" in BHEL and employees take Production Pledge to mark this occasion. (pervezbari@eth.net)
