Announcing the launch, Rajesh Sud, CEO & Managing Director, Max New York Life
said “Research indicates that there are 119 million parents in India between
the age group of 25-44 years with children less than 12 yrs of age. It is also
a known fact that financial security of children is the most important reason
that all parents save for. In fact, 85% of Indian Households having children
in 0-15 years of age group save for their children’s education. With the
current average age of parents buying insurance being 28 years and reducing,
these parents look for more access to financial planning and better financial
instruments which offer maximum potential for life insurance. Parents also
believe that an all round development of their children today is key to their
success in life.”
Anisha Motwani, Chief Marketing Officer, Max New York Life, added “While in
the yesteryears, it was all about focusing only on children’s education to
ensure their good career, in last one decade there is a significant shift in
attitudes of both parents and children. We at Max New York life understand
that it is extremely important to support children in areas beyond studies to
help them develop an all round personality which is crucial for success in
today’s world. Extensive ethnographic consumer studies to understand
deep-rooted behavioural aspects of parents have helped us formulate I-Genius.
I-Genius is a multi faceted initiative dedicated towards understanding and
satisfying these behavioural aspects by providing them with a platform to
promote all round development. Our I-Genius Scholarship programme is a
testimony of our belief of nurturing and supporting talent at a young age and
help parents nurture talent to make our coming generations multi-dimensional
and look beyond academics.”
