thunderous applause of the audience.
The prize distribution was followed by a cultural programme
wherein not only the hidden talent of children came to the
fore but GNF School Principal A. Anwar's multi-faceted
personality as an educationist, writer, poet, director etc.,
were also on display which impressed one and all who were
present on the occasion. The cultural programme was marked
by fancy dress of tiny-tots, Bal Kavi Sammelan, patriotic
song, dance etc.
Anwar had put his heart and soul in preparing the children
for various events with the help of the staff which also did
not lag behind in making the occasion a memorable one.
Anwar's rendering of numerous songs in his melodious voice,
which were part of many items presented by the students,
touched the heart and left a deep impression on the minds of
the assemblage.
The highlight of the cultural programme was a drama "Bikharte
Sapne" (Shattered dream), written and directed by the
Principal Anwar, wherein how parents, who nurture their
progenies from day one when they are born till they grow up
and take their rightful places in society, are dumped in old
age homes in the evening of their lives with their dreams
shattered was depicted very succinctly. A soulful song
written and rendered by the Principal himself narrating the
children's betrayal action moved the hearts of many whose
eyes welled up and were seen wiping out their tears.
Khatani released a hand-written "Science magazine on Water
Conservation" brought out by the school to highlight the
importance of water in life of living creatures. The

schools which may prepare our future generation. ........it
is said by some very wise man that the third world war will
be fought on the issue of water ........this magazine is
conveying the message to the students that life is not
possible without water.
Anwar from the Principal desk said: " The main aim of this
magazine is to develop an awareness about water conservation
and techniques of water conservation in the minds of the
students".
An upcoming "Tabla" maestro Master Rohan Chaturvedi studying
in Class VIIth of Sharda Vidya Mandir gave a presentation of
"Tabla Vadan" which was much appreciated.
At the outset Maulana M. M. Huq recited verses from the Holy
Quran. (pervezbari@eth.net)
